Hole in one at Foxchase wins car!

Every golfer dreams of hitting that hole in one to take home the grand prize – a new car.  Bruce Williams of Lancaster was one who did it!

Williams shot his ace on Tuesday, June 13 at the 8th Annual Garden Spot Village Golf Tournament held at Foxchase Golf Club, Stevens, to win

a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr.  "I was pretty surprised," said Williams of his 165-yard hole-in-one shot on the 8th hole.

The 65-year old admitted that it wasn't his first hole-in-one in his 50 years of playing the game, but it was the first time to win a car.

It was also the first time for him to play in the Garden Spot Village Benefit Golf Tournament.

He was part of a foursome from Fulton Financial Advisors, where he is vice president of CRIM Sales (Cash Reserve Investment Management).

Joyce Rule and Thelma Etter, residents of Garden Spot Village, were the official witnesses to the ace. "It was so exciting," exclaimed Rule.

New Holland Auto Group sponsored the golf tournament that raises money for the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund.

"It was fantastic to have a winner! We're happy for Bruce and pleased to sponsor the Garden Spot Village tournament," said Class.  The couple picked up their 2006 Zephyr last Wednesday, Aug. 9.  "Thank you to the dealership for the car and Garden Spot Village for the opportunity to play in their tournament and win the car,"said Williams with a smile.
